Ensure that the airotor handpiece and stainless steel cartridge are clean and free from any debris or contaminants.
Verify that the stainless steel cartridge is compatible with the specific chuck-type airotor handpiece you are using.
Inserting the Bur:
Hold the airotor handpiece with one hand, and with the other hand, unscrew the chuck mechanism to open it.
Insert the shank of the desired bur into the chuck mechanism of the stainless steel cartridge.
Push the bur firmly into the chuck until it is securely held in place.
Tighten the chuck mechanism by twisting it in the opposite direction to ensure a tight grip on the bur.
Securing the Cartridge:
Align the grooves on the stainless steel cartridge with the corresponding slots in the airotor handpiece.
Slide the stainless steel cartridge into the handpiece until it is fully seated and locked in place.
Ensure that the cartridge is securely attached to the handpiece to prevent any movement or loosening during use.
Operating the Airotor Handpiece:
Connect the airotor handpiece to the dental unit or air supply, ensuring a secure connection.
Adjust the air pressure to the desired level according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Hold the handpiece with a firm grip and position the bur at the treatment site.
Activate the airotor handpiece by pressing the foot pedal or activating the handpiece control button.
The stainless steel cartridge will provide a tight grip on the bur, preventing slippage during cutting, grinding, or polishing procedures.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
